Final Giveaway Week...

Its hard to believe that the summer is just about over and kids are returning to school. Summer zipped by and the Halloween season is in full swing with costume orders. I love this time of the year but it does get pretty busy and hectic for me. We have enjoyed doing a giveaway a week all summer long and so to finish the summer we have an adorable set up for grabs.

Giveaway week of August 9th thru Sunday 15th

Well as the summer comes to a close we will only have a few more weekly giveaways BUT

we will still do specials and giveaways once a month or so. It's been fun and this week I decided to change it up to a bright and fun tutu before the last few giveaways (which are Halloween sets!!)

Our cupcake splash Tutu was created to match a 1st Birthday set that Target offers online

one of my good friends was having her little girls party done in this theme so I took the napkin and created.. then of course asked my friend Kerry to make an adorable set of bloomers to match...

The tutu features red - purple - yellow - and teal.. so quite a different mix of colors its finished with a red bow. I know I am! I love the fall - I feel like we have been stuck inside all summer

between the chicken pox invading my home and these hot hot days we

haven't gotten out too much (our little red headed baby sure isnt a fan of the heat)

Week of July 26th Giveaway..

We only have a few more weeks of our summer giveaways .. and I changed the day to announce them on .. Friday was such a hard day for me (busy wise) to get things going ... so I took this week to change the day of the week we will announce our giveaway on ...

So starting this week the giveaways will always start on the MONDAY of the week .. and finish on the Sunday evenings at 11:59 pm CST. Again, like on Friday's the time we post the giveaway will vary (please keep in mind that I work sometimes in the day and sometimes in the evening to accomodate my kiddies schedules and my college helpers school schedule... so I won't guarantee a post by 8 am every Monday or announcing the winner by that day on the noon ... but it will be done every Monday ...).

repeat but with 2 options for ideas.. so enter in the idea that you want to win..

(This giveaway is for a DESIGN YOUR TUTU ONLY - meaning we are looking for your color ideas that would be fabulous for these costumes.. feel free to mention add ons for the tutus (however some may not be possible depending on our supplies) or witch hat ideas HOWEVER please remember the contest is for the tutu idea only .. (the witch hat will be made to match from our supplies and the fairy wings will be the color of our choice based on what we have in stock that matches with your tutu creation)

Lets design a witch for...

I know you have probably been waiting all day for me to post the winner for the Design a witch tutu giveaway we did this week! I am a little behind on things this week and today, because a few days ago one of my kids broke out... what started as a few spots on the face evolved to spots all over and a chicken pox diagnosis. They "say" if you get this and you have had the vaccine it "should" be milder, well his face is absolutely covered and all the rest of his body. So my 3 yr old is a little miserable and this is also preventing me from getting into my studio as much as I normally do (dont worry its a NO chicken pox zone!!). Anyway it shouldnt affect make times .. they may be at the longer end of the range for the next week or two ..but since we can't go anywhere I'll probably try and work in the studio some extra this weekend to help with the work time I am missing to snuggle with the unhappy boy. Just hoping my 7 mth old doesn't show up with this (he isn't old enough for the vaccine) ... and hopefully it will skip Hannah. We have laughed and said our luck will be on day 8 of Mr C's another child will start with it, then on day 8 of that just when we think we can escape to public again another child will get it.

So needless to say I am normally answering replys right away and have been a little ahead of the make time but this unexpected sickness is slowing me down a little.

I definetly had fun reading all the witch ideas.. many were elaborate the giveaway was for a custom witch tutu you pick the colors and ribbons ideas (so there were many ideas that went into more detail with extras that I just don't keep around so if your idea is choosen the tutu will be made as close to the idea within the parameters of what we have supply wise and what the giveaway stated as far as design (you pick colors and we do the ribbons) also many gave elaborate design ideas for the witches hats again I'll try and make as close for the winner but the giveaway does state it will be made to match the tutu colors with our fancy look that we normally do so some things I will not be able to do with the supplies we keep at hand... just wanted to mention since there were definetly some amazing ideas but Halloween supplies are so hard to keep in stock that every year I decide on specific designs/items to offer and thats what I offer .. with living 30-45 + minutes from most stores I don't always have the luxury to special shop for designs (like I used to) now that I have 3 little ones and work this business full time... so I hope the winner will love what I design based on their idea posted).

I make it no secret that I LOVE Halloween ... me and my kids are already talking on a possible family costume .. one child likes to say we will be the Incredibles ... I am not opposed but I certaintly have a hard time envisioning me and my husband wearing a unitard for the evening.. one wants us to be all Star Wars people .. another the characters from Yo Gabba Gabba.. I am undecided last year we waited until the last minute and I was putting together the final touches for my husbands Scarecrow costume and my mean witch (I was VERY pregnant and a witches dress was about the only costume easier enough to accomodate my large belly) on Halloween day.. I have to say our costumes will probably be done last minute again this year. (Ironic, as I tell my customers order early to avoid the rush....)

My favorite costumes this year are all the little witches I am offering, I LOVE making witches we are offering about 7 or so witches designs .. BUT customers can also custom create their own witch look all I need to know is the colors you want and I can make a set perfect to your little girls color preferences. In addition, make sure you are signed up soon as a follower, its hard to believe my Hannah turns 5 this summer it seems like yesterday she was just a little girl wearing tutus now shes growing up - to celebrate Hannah's Birthday and the business I will be doing a wonderful giveaway the week of her Birthday (which is this summer).

PLUS, I am looking for photographers that own some of my tutus!!! Every "Tuesday" I will do a "FEATURE TUESDAY POST" and feature a photographer - the feature will show some shots - talk a little about the photographer and why they choose to start taking pictures, etc. So email me today info@hannahstutus.com and title your message "FEATURE ME PLEASE" so I can plug you into a date and send you a list of cute questions for your feature.

I also want to share some of my favorite sites with you - having 3 kids under 5 I am always on the search for cute things and love to feature other business owners like myself hopefully once a week I'll have a new person to feature with their business so if you want to be part of this feature send me an email so I can chat about you on the blog.. I know for sure I recently have stumbled on to some cute sites for party stuff yes my little boy is 5 mths and I am ALREADY planning his 1st birthday theme I am "thinking" whales but I am not sold yet - carnivals and sweet shoppes catered to boys sure sound enticing (not because I want to eat all the candy). So I'd love to feature great places for favors, invites, tags, gifts and much more all summer for other moms like me that love to party plan.

Lastly, I get loads of adorable pictures sent in so I want to show those cute shots that moms, grandmoms, etc have gotten of little ones in tutus - just every day shots.. so customers that want to be featured email me a picture (note I do not list children's names on my web pages I will refer to the picture as Ms. H (first initial only). By sending your picture in to be featured I hope to perhaps do a little contest with customer featured photo's later this summer. I will try and do a feature once a week showing some of the cuties wearing tutus!

Well I reopened for custom orders on January 1st - and things are back in full swing these days so come check out the website which has been changed and brightened up some for the new year ... I just love the new picture displayed on the front of Ms. R the photo was taken by www.tracyjoy.com, Tracy does alot of our pictures for us and Ms. R is always a GREAT model.
